Anterior/posterior cruciate ligament transplantation, Inside the knee joint, there exist ligaments which support the bone below the knee to prevent it from being pushed out back and forth. They are called anterior cruciate ligament and posterior cruciate ligament respectively.
In case anterior cruciate ligament injury takes place due to various reasons, hemorrhaging inside the joint occurs, leading to instability of the joint, swelling of the damaged area and eventually pain. As the pain is dissipated several weeks after in general, proper treatments can be overlooked.
As the symptom can be developed into degenerative arthritis if left unattended due to lateral meniscal tear, synchondrosis and reconstruction through endoscope surgery within a short period of time is essential.
